I've read the manapashge for portmap, and a '-h' flag supposedly tells it what interface to listen to, but whe nI set: portmap_enable="YES" # Run the portmapper service (or NO). portmap_flags="-h 127.0.0.1" # Flags to portmap (if enabled). in /etc/rc.conf, I get : Aug 27 18:01:17 shikima portmap[135]: cannot bind udp: Address already in use Aug 27 18:22:52 shikima portmap[138]: cannot bind udp: Address already in use If I set it to listen on all interfaces, all is OK... wierd. Any ideas why? - no, there isn't something using port 111 already (at least not according to sockstat -4) -- Newton's Little-Known Seventh Law: A bird in the hand is safer than one overhead.
