When doing a large compile (i've just tried to compile everything in the source tree being out of date), i've got the system to stall now twice within less than 30 minutes. The symptoms have been the same for both, any process that tries to do something sleeps at ``lock_read'' (from DDB's ps output). Is it a known problem? Otherwise i've got the kernel compiled with -g, and i've also forced a core dump which i can analyze. -- cheers, J"org joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de -- http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
