Is that going to OK with regular > vim users who are used to having a dynamic, regularly updated port? FWIW, vim on various Linux boxes has puked many times in the past on my rather basic .exrc (last line edited for readability): set tabstop=4 set shiftwidth=4 set wraplen=73 set ai set ruler map ^R !}fmt 71 wraplen, as I recall didn't work right, and I think one or two other parts failed. I never did figure out how to set the wrap width. And don't even get me started on the damn syntax highlighting... watch the whole screen change color/darkness as I write a printf() depending on when the ()'s, ""'s, etc., are open. *shudder* -- Matthew Fuller (MF4839) | fullermd@over-yonder.net Unix Systems Administrator | fullermd@futuresouth.com Specializing in FreeBSD | http://www.over-yonder.net/ "The only reason I'm burning my candle at both ends, is because I haven't figured out how to light the middle yet" To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-arch" in the body of the message
