Hello everyone,

I'm running the 2/10/95 snapshot and I've been playing with the PPP
connection using pppd and pppstats. While ftp'ing some files I
noticed via pppstats that 1 packet in 10 would be in error and
be resent. Has anyone seen that sort of problem?

The connection is otherwise stable. I was able to do some remote
display of some X-window applications which were running on
my Sun machine and displayed on my FreeBSD box.

I also noticed the FTP transfer times were less then I expected.
My modem speed is 14.4 and I was only seeing ~600 char/sec. I
expected twice that.

Any ideas or comments?
