If you put in the socket hack from Linux (which is under GPL, so you
will have to become a CD manufacturer or not give away the changes)
for IBCS2, Sybase runs.

I don't know if everything about it runs perfectly; I do know that it
runs well enough to maintain a mirror of the HGP data (which is what
I set it up for).

You will definitely need to port/write a /dev/socket for this.
