The AIC7860 chip is listed on the supported list for 3.1, under the ahc
driver. (Note that you're looking at the chip ID, not the card model #
that's listed.  You have to look at the ahc man page to confirm.)

The only RAID HBA supported is the DPT.

This is 2 Digital chips on a PCI sub-bus; we have the quad-port cards and
they work fine.
