The Intel Smart Video Recorder III lists for $200 and I bought mine from http://www.libind.com for $179 . Now I am in the process of certifying the card for FreeBSD . This means that if you want to buy one for FreeBSD is not a very good idea at this stage. For starters, there is no video driver for it as for Pentium Pro compatibility you simply will have to wait till I finish writing the driver. The Intel Smart Video Recorder III (PCI board) has a dumb video capture chipset very similar to the Matrox Meteor however its dma capability is far superior to the Meteor because the Intel card's dma controller accepts "risc instructions" that is the dma controller is programmable.
