The ASUS A8V "Deluxe" that I have in my new machine is quite nice and comes with Promise onboard. (With the fixes to the sk driver I might even be able to make that work; right now I've got an Intel card in.) dmesg follows. This was a semi-custom system built for my by PC's for Everyone; the only issue I've had with it was a well-known incompatibility between Matrox video cards and the AMI BIOS, which is why I've got an NVIDIA in there now. (At home I have an AthlonXP in the A7V8X with which I have also been pleased.) -GAWollman ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright (c) 1992-2005 The FreeBSD Project.
