My computer is running Windows 95 and FreeBSD 4.0 Release. I read the handbook which said to add: device pcm devce sbc to my kernel. I did, and recompiled my kernel, rebooted my machine, etc (yeah, I know I sound stupid putting all this redundant garbage in, but every time I write this list people ask those stupid questions). Anyway, the handbook says the next step is to: cat /dev/sndstat amd it should tell me it works fine. It tells me: device not configured. The card works fine in Windows. Anyone have a clue why it doesn't work? thank you banksw@sunyit.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
