[-- Attachment #1 --] Hi, I'm having a hell of a time getting FreeBSD to find my serial ports. I have tried everything in the manuals, changed IRQ's, etc., etc., ad nauseum! My BIOS says there are 2 mouse ports, COM1 and COM3, however, when FBSD boots I get sio0 not found at 0x3f8 sio1 not found at 0x2f8 I presume FBSD acts in the same way as DOS, i.e. you need a serial port installed [COM1] in order to run the mouse. not suprisingly I then get mse0 not found at 0x23c I have tried everything I can think of. My machine uses PCI, the mouse is a no name brand, and I can't find any info about the board that might help. Has anybody any suggestions?
