Okay, in order to avoid any further uncertainty, here's a more detailed outline of what I did. 1) Updated two machines; one to -current, one to -stable. 2) For each machine in step 1: a) Unpacked the ACE distribution. b) Built ACE (did not install). c) Built the ACE tests. d) Ran the ACE tests. So, steps a-d were all done one right after the other. This means that everything was built using the same compiler toolchain.
