Along w/ the GUI editor cooledit, it also has a file browser, man page browser, a GUI interface to write, and a utility to place icons directly on your desktop rather than in a Wharf-type bar like AfterStep or fvwm. Cooledit itself will allow you to run applications on the file you are editing (for instance ispell or latex etc). There is also a stripped down version of cooledit included called smalledit.
