I have both bt848 cards and a matrox meteor card laying around here.
I lay my meteor to rest . The quality if you can discern it
should be better on the bt848 cards. It is very difficult to tell
the difference over here. One simple minded test that I have not
tried in a long time is to aim a camera at a steadily lit place
and use vic to measure the frame rate or net rate of the transmission.
If you have a noisy image capture it will show up in the trasmission
rate. The last time I measured both meteors and bt848 cards on
my system they where transmitting at approximately the same rate.
