Not picking any particular message in this thread to reply to, but I believe the bootable CD standards can be downloaded from Adaptec site somewhere, since Adaptec (basically, AFAIR) wrote the standard ... Sorry if this is mis-information, but it's from memory, as I'm not really all that interested in it until it becomes more widely available...
