The code you are looking for is in the kernel of FreeBSD, which you can
usually find in /usr/src/sys/*
You will find very interesting to read "TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 2" by Gary
R. Wright and W. Richard Stevens (ISBN 0-201-63354-X) which describes how
TCP/IP is implemented in BSD UNIX.
