(: BTW, multiple exclamation marks are the sign of a diseased mind, or something. :) I am using 2.1R. I can't see the console messages until I quit X, so I don't know exactly what I was doing at the time, but the only unusual disky thing I did was a sync (not immediately followed by shutdown). I was running some partitions async.
