On the primary server at www.win.net I had a Seagate Hawk drive running for about a year without the apparent lockups. This is with the BT946C controller however. The box runs a great deal of stuff - and the only time it seems to die these days is during the news expire run. I am chasing that problem now. The expire run crash occurs about once every two weeks. The hawk is slightly slower than the barracuda and we were considering replacing it for that reason. Regards, Mark Hittinger Senior System Admin Netcom now bugs@netcom.com :-)
