Well, last I heard, IBM had stopped development on it for the consumer market, and was only offering any patches/updates to it's server market that is using it. But that was a year ago and not from an industry-reliable source, so I could be way off base. All I know is that I have a friend that works for IBM here in Atlanta and he says everyone there *hates* OS/2. >SNIP< Well, to further the rumors and off topic discussion :-) >From http://osnews.com/news/index.html OS/2 fans will be happy to know that the much anticipated new version will definitely be released. Interestingly, longtime OS/2 development house Stardock Systems will be employed to test and market the release. IBM has not confirmed whether or not the release will be based on the Aurora code, which has several cool new features. Stardock has advocated "Linuxizing" OS/2 (as has Ralph Nader), but the fact that much of the technology is still licensed to Microsoft makes that option all but impossible now. If people are interested in alternative OSes, the URL above may be interesting as well.
