I've tried using it for the USB Zip drives, but I failed at some stage and left it at that. Basically, you can detach from a drive, but you can't detach from a SIM IMHO. However, the PCCARD ahc driver does detach properly from a SIM, so maybe it does work, and there simply was a bug in my code. One of the things I was not doing, I just noticed, was to send a AC_LOST_DEVICE for path for the SIM.
