Oh, interesting -- I didn't realize that OpenSolaris had picked up our smbfs 
implementation also.  I spent some time about six months ago comparing the 
FreeBSD and FreeBSD-derived Mac OS X implementations of smbfs, and the 
differences were almost all syntactic.  In particular, their mbuf interfaces 
have all been renamed as part of the KPI work; they have also added some 
crypto/kerberos parts that we don't have.  It would be interesting to do a 
similar comparison of with the OpenSolaris version.
