If so, what are the semantics of a read past EOF? BTW, 'advice' (the noun) is misspelt as 'advise' in the mincore(2) and madvise(2) man pages. The spelling of madvise() may also be construed as a bug unless one argues that 'advise' (the verb) is intended.
