Hi all,

Just an update and some observations..
I found out why I didn't have any window decorations. It's a separate
program that needs to be run after you start Compiz, GNOME users should
run gtk-window-decorator.

The problem I had after that was that Compiz was dead slow. I figured it
might be compiz itself or perhaps due to my pthreads 'hack' and I
reverted back to the regular metacity again. That ran fine. Next I saw
the Beryl update to 0.1.4, Beryl 0.1.2 ran fine so figured I'll upgrade
that. Also dead slow.. What the..?!?!

After a couple of seconds I remembered I also tried to get the linux
flashplayer working and had installed linux_base and the
linuxpluginwrapper. To get this working I had to install
/usr/src/libexec/rtld-elf and /etc/libmap.conf. So I removed the Linux
ABI support from /etc/rc.conf, removed the /etc/libmap.conf I had copied
and rebooted. After that both Beryl and Compiz ran full speed again. Not
sure why it was slow though, I'm betting it's something to do with the
libmap.conf I had copied. I'll see if I can test it again when I get
home tonight..

That's what you get when you try to do to many things at once..

Cheers,

Remko C.

perl -e 'print qq(I must remember to test one thing at a time\n)x1000;'
