Okay, after doing that and running xdoom I get:

May 29 07:59:12 phoenix /kernel: imgact: Non page aligned binary 1024
May 29 07:59:12 phoenix /kernel: imgact: Non page aligned binary 1024

and a kernel panic.  Suggestions?
