I saw you used COMPAT_4 when installing on 5.x.

The following script should fix that.

(at least here it generates working binaries linked to libc that are
rapported as "5.0.2" on my FreeBSD 5.2)

Script: (replaces "link-to-c" startup file by one that fixes RTLD_CLEANUP
registration and adds ELF ident section)
