I don't want to block the whole port tree for a large amount of time. If you look at the time between the commits, you see how fast i can work from germany :-). If i crash between these small commits, only one port is blocked and not the whole hierarchy. I had yesterday somewhere around 10-20 seconds for the echos of single chars :-(.
