Hi, I am running freebsd 3.0. I have a Seagate STT8000N scsi tape backup unit. In reading the Complete Freebsd book and other sources it says that the first scsi tape should be /dev/nrst0. If I do ls -l that device it says it is not found. What I can find is /dev/nrsa0 and this seems to work when I use tar to archive files to the tape drive. Is this alright or should I have the /dev/nrst0 as a device. When i use linux and BRU I am pretty sure the devie is /dev/nrsta.
