The advice here was to upgrade the firmware on my card. I didn't have access to a windows machine until today. I have today upgraded the firmware to 1.5.6 on my MA311 (the card in the FreeBSD 5.0 box working as an AP), and the MA401 (the card in my laptop). I continue to see messages about dropped packets. Aug 14 20:36:12 base kernel: ether_input: drop bdg packet, bif 0x5 Aug 14 20:41:07 base kernel: ether_input: drop bdg packet, bif 0x5 Aug 14 20:41:52 base kernel: ether_input: drop bdg packet, bif 0x5 Aug 14 20:52:51 base last message repeated 4 times Aug 14 21:03:09 base last message repeated 5 times I set both sides to 1MB transfer rate, turned off WEP, and only have about 8 meters distance between machines. Any advice? Thanks, -- Mike Jackson
