FreeBSD will run on most hardware including embedded systems like you describe, but you might want to consider NetBSD instead, as that system supports more odd hardware and focuses on a minimal-overhead base system that fits into CF better than FreeBSD does. I'm not sure you can obtain your requirements in less than 5W, but something from Soekris like this: http://www.soekris.com/net4526.htm ...would be a starting point. -- -Chuck
