It started with a nightly security check that output: pkg: Warning: Major OS version upgrade detected. Running "pkg bootstrap -f" recommended OK, tried that and got variants on: # pkg bootstrap -f pkg: Warning: Major OS version upgrade detected. Running "pkg bootstrap -f" recommended pkg(8) is already installed. Forcing reinstallation through pkg(7). The package management tool is not yet installed on your system. Do you want to fetch and install it now? [y/N]: y Bootstrapping pkg from pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/quarterly, please wait... pkg: Error fetching http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/quarterly/Latest/pkg.txz: Not Found A pre-built version of pkg could not be found for your system. Consider changing PACKAGESITE or installing it from ports: 'ports-mgmt/pkg'. In passing it's worth noting the first three lines of output, which could be improved on. I've checked both IPv4 sites, and http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:14:amd64/ only contains a "latest" directory, not "quarterly". What's the issue here? This system was running fine until I tried the bootstrap. Greg -- Sent from my desktop computer. See complete headers for address and phone numbers. This message is digitally signed.
