As root, do the following (after you quit netscape): cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc mkfontdir xset fp rehash You must have done what I did (and several others) and only installed one part of the misc fonts, so the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/fonts.dir file needs to be rebuilt so that the missing fonts are not included.
