I am currently running a z60m purchased early in the year. I can't complain ... let's see: - ACPI : suspend, resume : all good. - sound works (the original hdac.ko posted to multimedia rather than the now office snd_hdac....haven't got around to test it) - NIC wireless: iwi 2915ABG : works fine - NIC wired : bge : fine - VGA : Radeon X600 M24 - non-accelerated, but ok - HD : sata, just fine. - pointer / touchpad : fine too - USB , Firewire : no probs a tall. - bluetooth : gets detected, but haven't spend much time trying to get it to work... "seems" ok. - Modem : haven't tested - DVD/CD writer : works fine, haven't tested with RW discs, but I cant imagine why it wouldn't work. - PCMCIA : inserting cards get picked up, but haven't tested actually using any to confirm. - SD reader : doesn't work, no driver attached. - fingerprint scanner : cute and useless. I think i've put all this info in the FreeBSD laptop DB... ------------- $ pciconf -lv hostb0@pci0:0:0: class=0x060000 card=0x05751014 chip=0x25908086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82915PM/GM/GMS, 82910GML Host Bridge' class = bridge subclass = HOST-PCI pcib1@pci0:1:0: class=0x060400 card=0x00000088 chip=0x25918086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82915PM/GM PCI Express Graphics Port' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcm0@pci0:27:0: class=0x040300 card=0x05b71014 chip=0x26688086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW Intel High DefiNition Audio Controller' class = multimedia pcib2@pci0:28:0: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26608086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 1' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcib3@pci0:28:1: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26628086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 2' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcib4@pci0:28:2: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26648086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 3' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcib5@pci0:28:3: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26668086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 4' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI uhci0@pci0:29:0: class=0x0c0300 card=0x05651014 chip=0x26588086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci1@pci0:29:1: class=0x0c0300 card=0x05651014 chip=0x26598086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci2@pci0:29:2: class=0x0c0300 card=0x05651014 chip=0x265a8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci3@pci0:29:3: class=0x0c0300 card=0x05651014 chip=0x265b8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB ehci0@pci0:29:7: class=0x0c0320 card=0x05661014 chip=0x265c8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB 2.0 EHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB pcib6@pci0:30:0: class=0x060401 card=0x00000050 chip=0x24488086 rev=0xd3 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801BAM/CAM/DBM (ICH2-M/3-M/4-M) Hub Interface to PCI Bridge' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI isab0@pci0:31:0: class=0x060100 card=0x05681014 chip=0x26418086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FBM ICH6M LPC Interface Bridge' class = bridge subclass = PCI-ISA atapci0@pci0:31:2: class=0x010180 card=0x056a1014 chip=0x26538086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FBM ICH6M SATA Controller' class = mass storage subclass = ATA none0@pci0:31:3: class=0x0c0500 card=0x056b1014 chip=0x266a8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW SMBus Controller' class = serial bus subclass = SMBus none1@pci1:0:0: class=0x030000 card=0x058e1014 chip=0x31501002 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ATI Technologies Inc' device = 'M24 1P Radeon Mobility X600' class = display subclass = VGA bge0@pci2:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x05771014 chip=0x167d14e4 rev=0x11 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Broadcom Corporation' device = 'BCM5750A1M NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express' class = network subclass = ethernet cbb0@pci20:0:0: class=0x060700 card=0x056c1014 chip=0x04761180 rev=0xb3 hdr=0x02 vendor = 'Ricoh Co Ltd' device = 'RL5c476 CardBus Controller' class = bridge subclass = PCI-CardBus none2@pci20:0:1: class=0x0c0010 card=0x05111014 chip=0x05521180 rev=0x08 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Ricoh Co Ltd' device = 'RL5c552 IEEE-1394 Controller' class = serial bus subclass = FireWire none3@pci20:0:2: class=0x080500 card=0x05981014 chip=0x08221180 rev=0x17 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Ricoh Co Ltd' device = 'SD Bus Host Adapter' class = base peripheral none4@pci20:0:3: class=0x088000 card=0x05961014 chip=0x05921180 rev=0x08 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Ricoh Co Ltd' device = 'Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter' class = base peripheral iwi0@pci20:2:0: class=0x028000 card=0x10108086 chip=0x42248086 rev=0x05 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = 'PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection' class = network $ vmstat -i interrupt total rate irq0: clk 72123706 1599 irq1: atkbd0 105298 2 irq8: rtc 5771831 127 irq9: acpi0 1873717 41 irq11: cbb0 pcm0+* 17055932 378 irq12: psm0 58609 1 irq14: ata0 2433351 53 irq15: ata1 140912 3 Total 99563356 2207 ------------ _________________________ {Beto|Norberto|Numard} Meijome Law of Conservation of Perversity: we can't make something simpler without making something else more complex I speak for myself, not my employer.
