I use "amd" with the following flags:
"-a /.amd_mnt -l syslog /host /etc/amd.map /net /etc/amd.map"
and my /etc/amd.map is the default FreeBSD one:
/defaults type:=host;fs:=${autodir}/${rhost}/host;rhost:=${key}
* opts:=rw,grpid,resvport,vers=2,proto=udp,nosuid,nodev

Yes, I have a freeze. No crash. And yes, even with sexy high-end
servers, one doesn't get useful diagnostics in a freeze.
