havn't looked at it .. especially the =filename function )

This little gem will give you a title bar in an xterm like:
branson@belmakor:/home/branson
and will set your prompt to
branson@belmakor >
if you are using an xterm. Make sure that you replace the ESC with ^[
and the ^G with a real control g... you can do this by typing <ctrl>
<V> and then <ctrl> <the control char you want>. If you are using
anything else... it will set your prompt to
branson@belmakor:/your/dir >
