Problems running WINE, basically, it does nothing. if i run a
wine sol.exe
i get no response.. no errors.. just nothing. if i do a
wine -desktop 640x480 sol.exe
it opens a 640x480 WINE window, but its blank/empty and does nothing
else.
no matter what i run it does nothing, except, it will return the version
number on a
wine -version
I'm running FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE.
I've applied the 3 kernel patches WINE specifies:
patch-3.3-sys-ldtshare
patch-3.3-sys-sigtrap
patch-3.3-sys-fsgs
and rebuilt kernel and rebooted.. made no difference.. still does same
thing.
I'm running WINE 991114 from the ports collection
I don't have a native win installation, i made approriate dir's for
"windows"
"system" etc, and gave liberal permisions to all, and edit'd the
wine.conf
file appriately. have read all doc on www.winehq.com, and the
wine-HOWTO and
followed directions therein.
i'm impressed with the applications that WINE has been said to run, but
i
can't get it to do ANYTHING.. no errors.. nothing.
any help/hints/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
