You're right and it is counterintuitive and I gather some implementations behave differently just to add to the fun. A workaround should be to use loopback mounts and export those mountpoints - I haven't tried this in a *long* time and that was NFSv3 so ymmv, slippery when wet and all that. -- Steve O'Hara-Smith
