Is your ppplogin file world executable ?? What O/S are you trying to login with ?? ... Windows won't connect automatically with the regular getty, you must either "bring up a terminal window after dialling" or write a login script. Are both ends using public range IPs or is NAT involved ?? I've rarely had problems with public range IPs but almost always had trouble using NAT over a dialup link, particularly when there are two or more dialup links in series. > I tried to build ppp server using FreeBSD-4.2, > already done with /etc/gettytab, /etc/ttys, /etc/ppp/ppp.conf > etc...(following man ppp) > but now my ppp server cant run? seem my /usr/local/bin/ppplogin didn't run? > I already follow 2 methods receiving incomng call (man ppp) but still > same... > always get disconected...and there is nothing happeng in /var/log/messages > nor /var/log/ppp.log? > > so what happens?? > > > thanks > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
