Vega is indeed only relatively high end. Polaris starts with the cheap, low
power RX 550. Some older cards are supported too, but the newer ones are go=

to be more efficient and easier to find possibly.

i386 is very sad, no developers really care about desktop on i386 anymore, =
so
it just "hopefully works". You don't have to wipe everything to switch to
amd64. Quite possibly you could even just run i386 userspace with an amd64
kernel!
