You need /etc/sysconfig . It is part of the binary package and it is modified during the installation procedure. It is very hard to imagine how you could have avoided the creation of this file. I assume you have looked in the right place and also have been careful with your use of the rm command. I generally modify this file to set up user ppp, i.e. modify sendmail flags, routing, etc ... Hi helpful fbsd buffs, I have successfully installed & got ppp working. Next step is set up a LAN running TCP/IP. I have discovered I have no sysconfig file...is this normal Docs seem to indicate that install creates one. What should I do The DEC 21401 card is detected at de0 now what ??
