I know with the newer versions the preferred (in the docs for apache) method of stopping and starting it with the apachectl script (it's in apache bin dir) so running '/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl start' and conversely '/usr/local/apache/bin/apachectl stop' should work. To see all the options for it just type it with no options (I think though that it is just start | stop | restart) -Mark Network Administrator Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ Winter Park, FL USA To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
