But after that, I couldn't even get hit Ctrl-Alt-Del on the console to reboot the system and had to hard reset it to get it back to life.... What's wrong here? Personally, I expect a RAID 1 configuration to survive the failure of one disk and to work until I decide to have time to replace the disk and not just hang until somebody hits reset. Is this the fault of FreeBSD or of the Highpoint chipset (I can't check as I haven't got a Promise based card near me)?
