After all the posts about SMP dying in 4-Stable I decided to see if I could make my machine crash. So far everything seems fairly stable. I've got a 440LX based dual PII/PIII board with integrated fxp. I have recently had problems with my fxp. It was being assigned the=20 same IRQ as my video card so I told BIOS not to assign the video card an IRQ and everything has worked fine since. dmesg :=20 Programming 24 pins in IOAPIC #0 IOAPIC #0 intpin 2 -> irq 0 IOAPIC #0 intpin 16 -> irq 11 IOAPIC #0 intpin 17 -> irq 5 IOAPIC #0 intpin 18 -> irq 12 IOAPIC #0 intpin 19 -> irq 10 FreeBSD/SMP: Multiprocessor motherboard cpu0 (BSP): apic id: 0, version: 0x00040011, at 0xfee00000 cpu1 (AP): apic id: 1, version: 0x00040011, at 0xfee00000 io0 (APIC): apic id: 2, version: 0x00170011, at 0xfec00000 --=20 Scott Dodson EDCA2785 5CF0 D9A7 7DA0 9459 45E0 gsi22419@gsaix2.cc.gasou.edu 1790 A5F0 26CB EDCA 2785 --7AUc2qLy4jB3hD7Z Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (FreeBSD) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7QYLHpfAmy+3KJ4URAtF2AJ9K3Id683o/LfYOyHRbYCILhC7xzACgh1p8 4d01DpR/Jv5uRX76RxU87KU= =6I7C -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --7AUc2qLy4jB3hD7Z-- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
