However, after upgrading to a recent 7.0-CURRENT (around March 25th), the drives ceased to be detected by the motherboard, regardless of the mode the controller is set to. More recent versions of 7.0-CURRENT have not rectified the issue. Furthermore, detaching and reattaching the controllers with atacontrol does not cause the detection of the drives. I have attached both a verbose dmesg and the output of pciconf -lv.
