            Bug ID: 274440
Summary: ice: ice0: Failed to set LAN Tx queue
           Product: Base System
           Version: 13.2-RELEASE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: kern
          Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: asomers@FreeBSD.org

My Intel E810-XXV-4 network cards frequently stop working. The first sympt=
om
is that both laggports report "ice0: Interface stopped DISTRIBUTING, possib=
le
flapping" at the exact same time, and the lagg loses sync. Then when I
"ifconfig down" and "ifconfig up" one member, dmesg reports:

ice0: Failed to remove a filter for MAC 40:a6:b7:6a:ed:90, err ICE_ERR_AQ_E=
MPTY
aq_err OK
ice0: Failed to disable LAN Tx queues: err ICE_ERR_AQ_EMPTY aq_err OK
ice0: Rx queue 0 invalid state

and lldpctl shows no neighbors.

If I down/up again, I get this error:

ice0: Failed to set LAN Tx queue 0 (TC 0, handle 0) context, err ICE_ERR_PA=
RAM
aq_err OK
ice0: Unable to configure the main VSI for Tx: ENODEV

Only a reboot remedies the problem.

I have seen this problem on 50% of our brand-new servers that use firmware
version 7.3.4. Several older servers using version 7.2.4 have never exhibi=
ted
the problem, so I suspect that firmware may be at fault. The full firmware
string is

dev.ice.0.fw_version: fw 7.3.4 api 1.7 nvm 4.30 etid 8001af22 netlist
4.2.2000-20.19.0.927c3c1b oem 1.3429.0
