Did you try 4.5?
I've seen the web page before; however the patches didn't apply cleanly
to recent -CURRENT, and I also thought that 4.5 would need the 
same modules (vmmon, etc.) to run, and thus would suffer from
the same problem as vmware3.   But I'll give it another shot.
