This is because the firmware of *both* the WavePoint-IIs and the PC-Cards didn't support power saving until 1Q99. You will be glad to hear that you can absolutely upgrade your firmware in your WavePoint-II and PC-Cards to support power saving. You'll need to run Win95 or NT to run the upgrade utilities.
