I tried setting CC, CXX, and F77.

I looked at the Mk/bsd.port.mk and saw USE_GCC and tried that.  At
least this picked up gcc33.  I thought it should have also should have
picked up g77-33, but, it did not.  The atlas port configure puts f77
in the make files.
