I'm trying to setup a nfs share on my server. I'm trying to connect from a laptop to that share. The laptops ip address is assigned via dhcp. I try to connect to the share with the command mount -v servername:/mountpoint /mnt and get the error: nfs: can't get net id for host /etc/exports /data_drive/public -alldirs /etc/hosts.allow I have even added portmap : ALL : allow in attempt to mount the share, but I still get this error. Any hints or tips? -- Rod @home therefore no cool signature Home Of Open Source Beef http://opensourcebeef.bsd.st/index.html FreeBSD User since 1999
