I can confirm that this patch made my CDROM player (Toshiba XM-5302TA/0305, according to the bootup message) work again. It was not recognized at all in the 960612 SNAP (but had worked in an earlier SNAP). I applied this patch to the 960612 SNAP, and now the CDROM player is recog- nized, and things work just fine.
