I went through this same mess a few weeks ago. The best advice I can
give you is to do the install via FTP, or make sure you get a very very
very new CD. I ended up having to do the install from FTP with a version
from around 8.17.01 to get it to detect the card. I had trouble with
version prior to that. Good luck, and if you need help, let me know,
I've probably seen any weird messages you're getting. Have fun,
