https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D212248 Bug ID: 212248 Summary: databases/mysql57-server jail Installation from pkg corrupted if mysql user and group exist Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: marcelo_javier_ruiz@yahoo.com.ar CC: mokhi64@gmail.com CC: mokhi64@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(mokhi64@gmail.com) If I create a brand new jail in FreeBSD 10.3, add user mysql, add it to whe= el group, and then install mysql57-server (version 5.7.13_1) the installation = gets corrupted and the service mysql-server cannot be started.=20 The most evident problem I found is that /var/db/mysql has wrong owners. The install uses the uid and gid as if the mysql user was created by the install (gid 88 and uid 88) instead of using the existing gid and uid (1001). Chang= ing the ownership to wheel:mysql does not solve the problem. If there is no existing mysql user, install and service run fine. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
